Jamuna Bank PLC signs tripartite MoU with BRHC and leading Chinese hospitals

 

Jamuna Bank PLC has signed a landmark tripartite MOU with the Belt & Road Healthcare Center (BRHC) and leading Chinese hospitals, including Shenzhen Hengsheng Hospital and Guangzhou Foshan Chancheng Hospital. Signed on 22 April 2026 at the bank’s Head Office in Gulshan-1, Dhaka, the agreement aims to improve access to world-class healthcare for Bangladeshi patients seeking treatment abroad through a structured and transparent framework.

The MOU was formally executed by distinguished representatives of the three partner organizations:

  • Jahangir Alam — Deputy Managing Director, Jamuna Bank PLC.
  • Abidur Rahman — Deputy Manager, Operations Division, BRHC.
  • Liu Wenjuan — Manager, Int. Business Division, Guangzhou Foshan Chancheng Hospital.
  • Zhang Fan — Executive Vice President, Shenzhen Hengsheng Hospital.

The ceremony was also attended by Md. Mehedi Hasan (EVP, Head of Treasury, Jamuna Bank PLC.), Guo Cheng Zhuo (Marketing Manager), Wu Peng (Director, International Medical Center) from Shenzhen Hengsheng Hospital and Engineer Md. Mozammel Haque from BRHC.

Under this collaboration, a structured framework has been established for patient referral and access to advanced healthcare in China. Jamuna Bank cardholders will receive up to 8% discount on treatment costs (above RMB 20,000, T&Cs apply), making quality healthcare more affordable for Bangladeshi patients.

The MOU covers a comprehensive network of 12 internationally accredited Chinese hospitals, offering specialized medical services across oncology, ophthalmology, orthopedics, pediatrics, traditional Chinese medicine, and more.
