Kazi Ershadul Alam

Kazi Ershadul Alam is a highly accomplished legal professional with extensive expertise in commercial law, corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, taxation, banking, and constitutional matters. Currently serving as a Partner at Tanjib Alam and Associates, he has been with the firm since 2010, rising through the ranks from Associate to Senior Associate and now Partner.

Mr. Alam is an Advocate of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh, enrolled in both the High Court Division (2015) and the Appellate Division (2024). He was also called to the Bar of England and Wales in 2010 by the Honourable Society of Lincoln’s Inn.

He has significant experience representing clients in the High Court Division across Company, Writ, VAT, Customs, Taxation, and Admiralty matters, and regularly appears before regulatory tribunals and arbitration panels. His transactional portfolio includes high-value mergers and acquisitions, project finance, syndicated loans, cross-border transactions, and private equity investments.

Mr. Alam has advised and represented major local and international clients, including Grameenphone, Robi Axiata, bKash, Coca-Cola, Sanofi, HSBC, Citi Bank, IFC, and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. He played key roles in landmark transactions such as the merger of Robi and Airtel, and the acquisition of GrameenPhone IT Ltd. by Accenture.

He is widely regarded as one of the most promising and versatile lawyers in Bangladesh, with a deep understanding of legal, regulatory, and financial frameworks essential for corporate and commercial operations both domestically and internationally.
